MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 10, 1981 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, CityManager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />and Mr. Miller, Assistant to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer introduced Alameda County Supervisor C. Santana, who was in attend- <br />ance at the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that item 4p - Approval of Final Progress Payment and Accept- <br />ance of Improvements for Mission Hill Park Phase I, would be removed from the agenda <br />at the request of staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda as item 12d - Discussion <br />regarding Proposition I Park Bond Funds. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that he felt item 13a - Legal Status of the Residential <br />Allocation Program, should be continued for 30 days in order to allow Council and the <br />developers more time to review the lengthy report relative to this matter. Also, in <br />this regard, Mayor Mercer requested that item 8f - Public Hearing on the Draft Re- <br />vised Housing Element of the General Plan and accompanying Negative Declaration, be <br />continued for 30 days. He advised he had received a letter from the Chamber of Com- <br />merce requesting these continuances. After discussion, Council concurred to continue <br />these two items to the meeting of April 14, 1981. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart requested that an Executive session be held at the con- <br />clusion of this meeting to discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 2-24-81. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim March 25-29, 1981, as Energy ConservatiOn Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />c. ProclaimMay 24-31, 1981, as Energy Conservation Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim March 15-21, 1981, as National American Association of University Women. <br /> <br /> <br />
