155 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October.'13~ 1981 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order~ <br />8:00 P-M.s and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as foElows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 8k - Application of Robert and Judith Cuesta te <br />convert eight rental dwelling units to condominiums located at 181 Mission Drive a~d <br />5321 SonomaDrive, be continued until such time as the applicant has properly noti- <br />fied his tenants. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda. as item 4r - Pzocla~ <br />October 13-18, 1981, as Energy Conservation Week. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of th~s <br />meeting to discuss litigation and personnel. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Dr. Dennis Glafkides, 737 Happy Valley Road, requested that item 4] - Resolutte~ <br />making application to LAFCO and agreeing to the exchange of property tax revenues and <br />initiating prozoning for the proposed annexation of Mutual Land Company (Crellin Road) <br />and J. D. Quick (Amber Road), and item 41 - Authorization to Annexation No, 82 <br />(Gamache), be continued until such time as the Alisal Homeowners Association can <br />review and comment on these items. Staff advised that item 41 - GamacheAnnexation <br />on Amber Road, had already gone through the annexation process and should not be <br />continued, but that the application for annexation of Mr. Quick on Amber Road could <br />be continued for further comment. Council agreed to continue the applicatie~ of <br />J. D. Quick for annexation of property on Amber Road. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 9-22-81 and 9-29-81. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim October 15, 1981, as White Cane Safety Day in the City of Pleasanton. <br />c. Proclaim October 23-November 23, 1981, as Veterans Recognition Month. <br />d. Proclaim November 1-8, 1981, as Sports, Recreation and Physical Fitness Week. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-327, after review of bids, award the contract for <br /> the replastering of the deep water pool of the Aquatic Center, Project No. 81-15, <br /> to Precision Plastering, in the amount of $10,100.00, and authorizing the appro- <br /> priate City officials to execute-the contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
