175 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 8, 1981 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll. which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Councilmember <br /> Butler was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, <br /> Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that item 8h - Appeal of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of <br />certain conditions of approval set by the Design Review Board in approving the design <br />of an approximately 46,000 sq. ft. medical office building proposed to be constructed <br />at the southwest corner of Springdale Avenue and StoneridgeMall Road, would be dis- <br />missed from the agenda at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda as item 12a - Authoriza- <br /> tion to Retain Bond Counsel for Proposed Mortgage Revenue Bonds. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for August 25, 1981. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim September 20, 1981, as National Ministers Day. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-291, authorizing additional work on the North <br /> Pleasanton Water Study by Camp, Dresser, McKee, Inc., and amending the budget <br /> by $6,000.00 to cover ths cost. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-292, authorizing that a letter be sent to the <br /> State Water Resources Control Board requesting a contract amendment to add a <br /> Cathodic Protection System to the two new force mains of the Pleasanton Inter- <br /> ceptor Project, and to include the cost in remaining funds under the Clean <br /> Water Grant. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-293, approving plans and specifications, and <br /> authorization to call for bids for replastering of the deep water pool at the <br /> Aquatic Center, Project No. 81-15. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-294, that a "No Parking" area be placed on the <br /> east side of Pico Avenue from Rotringer Drive to the northerly end of the park. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-295, after review of bids, awarding contract for <br /> demolition of houses at 208, 209, and 211 West Angela Street, Project No. 81-14, <br /> Peters Avenue Project, to Deetz Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $6,966.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
