MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 2, 1984 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Communitv Development, Mrs. <br />Bengtson, Department of Parks and Community Services, and Mr. Hill, Fire Chief, were <br />present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the Consent Calendar as item 4dd - <br /> Foothill High School Homecoming Parade. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer suggested that items 8c, 8f, and 8g be considered simultaneously <br />under public hearings as they all relate to Hacienda Business Park. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 9-11-84. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim October 15, 1984 as ~'~ite Cane Day. <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim October 7-14, 1984 as Symphony Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim October 7-13, 1984 as National Fire Prevention Week. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1154, Transportation Systems Management Ordinance. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-473, approving claims for the month of August, 1984 <br /> in the amount of $1,906,534.25. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-474, appointing Imperial Securities Corporation as <br /> underwriters for the North Pleasanton Fire Assessment District No. 1982-6. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-475, approving the purchase of a Case 680H Backhoe <br /> for the Sewer Department in the amount of $55,384.94, and authorizing the City <br /> Manager to enter into a forty-eight month lease/purchase agreement with the Case <br /> Power and Equipment Company at eight percent A.P.R., monthly lease payments not <br /> to exceed $1,343.14. <br /> <br /> <br />
