MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 10, 1984 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Mr. <br /> Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br /> Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, Mrs. <br /> Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, and Mrs. Wagner, Director of <br /> Finance, were present. <br />'D <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss labor relations. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 3-27-84. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim April 1984 as Cancer Awareness Month. <br /> <br /> c. Proclaim the week of April 15-21, 1984 as Victimls Rights Week. <br /> d. Proclaim April 1984 as Child Abuse Month. <br /> e. Proclaim April 8-15~ 1984 as Junior Week in Pleasanton. <br /> f. Proclaim May 1984 as Deaf Awareness Month. <br /> <br /> g. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-152, after review of bids, award contract for Har- <br /> rison Street and St. John Street reconstruction, Project No. 84-2, to Whalen Con- <br /> struction Company, Inc., for the low bid of $150,480.25; authorizing execution of <br /> the contract by the appropriate city officials; and amending the 1983-84 fiscal <br /> year budget an additional $8,000.00 for this project. <br /> <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-153, approving Program Supplements Nos. 24 and 25 <br /> to Local Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5101 for Federal Aid Improvements, to re- <br /> store streets and remove tracks on abandoned Southern Pacific Railroad Crossings <br /> from Stanley Boulevard to Main Street. <br /> <br /> i. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-154, establishing Stop signs for Junipero Street at <br /> its intersection with Sonoma Drive. <br /> <br /> j. Adoption of Resolution No. 84-154, prohibiting parking on the north side of the <br /> entire length of Washington Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
