MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 14, 1984 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Mr. <br /> Walker, City Manager, Mr. Swift, Assistant City Attorney, Mr. Glenn, Assistant Planner, <br /> Mr. Okamura, A~sistant City Engineer, Mrs. Wagner, Director of Finance, and Mrs. Bengt- <br /> son, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 4i - Approval of change of the job classification <br /> of the Recreation Coordinator from temporary to full time, in the Department of Re- <br /> creation and Human Resources, be moved on the agenda to item 12i, for discussion. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss labor relations and litigation. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that item 4t - Recommendation of Disposal of Sur- <br />plus Property - Northwest Corner of Peters Avenue and-Bernal Avenue, be continued to <br />allow additional notification relative to this matter. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on ~the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 1-24-84. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1121, approving the application of Leisure Sports, Inc., <br /> for PUD (Planned Unit Development) zoning and development plan approval of a major <br /> addition to the Amador Valley Athletic Club for an approximately 181,000 sq. ft., <br /> 298 room, five story hotel/convention center, additional tennis courts and related <br /> facilities on an approximately 16.8 acre site at 7090 Johnson Drive. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1122, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to prezone approximately 3.9 acres at 3885 Foothill Road to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development) Low Density Residential District. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1123, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to modify the provisions of Ordinance No. 928, limiting the uses allowed at the <br /> Valley Business Park located in the vicinity of Quarry Lane south of Valley Avenue <br /> to allow churches and similar religious and meeting facilities in existing struc- <br /> tures within the project subject to the review and approval procedures of the City. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1124, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to amend the zoning ordinance to allow fences in excess of six feet in height within <br /> required yard areas under certain conditions in coramercial and industrial zoning <br /> districts. <br /> <br /> <br />
