MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL October 15, 1985 INTERVIEWS FOR ALTERNATE MEMBER ON THE HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION Mayor Mercer and Members of the City Council met at 6:45 p.m., to interview the following candidates for consideration as alternate member on the Human Services Commission: Donalyn Cowden Bruce Fiedler Jim Fields Two candidates were unable to be present for their interviews. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 p.m., and then led the Pl-edge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is re- corded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer were present. Councilmember Wood was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development, Mr. Okamura, Act- ing Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Eastman, Chief of Police, and Mr. Jost, Senior Engineering Technician, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the Consent Calendar as follows: item 4t - Approval of Lease Agreement for New 1500 GPM Pumper item 4u - National Adult Education Week CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Coun- cilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 10-1-85. b. Adoption of Resolution No. 85-478, after review of bids, award the contract for Dorman Road Handicap Ramps installa- tion to Cunningham & Sons, Inc., in the amount of $10,650.00; authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate - 1 - 10-15-85
