MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL September 3, 1985 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Alternate Lillian Akin called the role which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. --Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director Df Planning and Community Development, and Mr. Okamura, Acting Director of 7ublic Works and Utilities, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Walker requested that two items be added to the agenda as follows: Item 4Y - Resolution in Memory of Gene Angle Item 4Z - First Amendment to the Mozart Amended Development Deferment Agreement Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at this meeting to discuss the Worker's Compensation case of Robert Shaw and the Valley Avenue Extension Application to the Public Utilities Commission. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 8-20-85. b. Proclamation of October as Make-A-Wish Month. =. Proclamation of September 17-23, 1985, as Constitution Week. Adoption of Resolution No. 85-407, approval of Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement: Motorcyle Training e. Adoption of Resolution No. 85-408, approval of the Chamber of Commerce's 1985 Heritage Days Parade Application; require the parade sponsor to comply with all conditions outlined; and amend the 1985/86 City budget to include the $665.00 in estimated City costs. 9-3-85 1
