MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> JANUARY 21, 1986 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Frank C. Brandes, Jr., called the Regular Meeting of the City Coun- <br />cil to order at 8:00 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br />lows: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes were pres- <br />ent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Di- <br />rector of Planning and Community Development, and Mr. Okamura, Acting Director <br />of Public Works and Utilities, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda as item 4v - <br />Resolution Requesting the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to Authorize the <br />Alameda County Registrar of Voters to Conduct, By Contract, Election Services <br />for the City of Pleasanton's April 8, 1986 Special Election. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that item 12b - Status Report on Capital Improvement <br />Program, be removed from the agenda at the request of staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclu- <br />sion of this meeting to discuss labor relations and pending litigation Bar- <br />bara Ross vs. City. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, <br />be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 1-7-86. <br /> <br />b~ Adoption of Ordinance No. 1234, requiring use of fire resistive roof <br /> materials in hazard areas and adopting findings of facts to support the <br /> imposition of requirements which are greater than the requirements es- <br /> tablished by the State Building Standards Code. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1239, approving the application of Gregg Mix, <br /> Roger Manning and Art Dunkley for rezoning and development plan approval <br /> for a four unit single-family residential development on an approximately <br /> 0.9 acre site located at the terminus of Abbie Street. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1240, amending Section 2-5.39(a), of Article 3, <br /> Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> revoke the required distances separating second-story additions from ad- <br /> joining structures in the R-1 District. <br /> <br /> 1-21-86 <br /> - 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
