373 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 17, 1988 <br /> <br />MEETING WITH THE CITY OF LIVERMORE, RE: HAZARDOUS WASTE PLAN <br /> Mayor Mercer and members of the City Council and members of the Livermore <br />City Council met at 7:00 p.m. for a presentation by Mr. Dick Morrel of Alameda <br />County regarding the hazardous waste plan. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br />lows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer were <br />present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Elliott, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development, Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services, <br />Mr. Eastman, Police Chief, Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, and Mr. Miller, <br />Director of Personnel, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that item 4e - Modification to Grading Ordinance, would <br />be continued to the meeting of June 7, 1988, at the request of staff. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />item 4w Approval of Program Supplement No. 36 to Local Agency-State Agree- <br /> ment No. 04-5101 for Federal Aid Improvements; <br /> <br />item 4x - Approval of Plans and Specifications and Authorization to Call for <br /> Bids for the Pleasanton Theater (Amador Theater) and Approval of <br /> Construction Management Contract with CH2M Hill; <br /> <br />item 6b - Support of the Alameda County Santa Rita Jail General Obligation <br /> Bond Election; <br /> <br />item 12e- Establish Dates for Work Sessions for Review of the 1988-89 Operat- <br /> ing Budget. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the Mosier litigation will be removed from Execu- <br />tive Session discussion. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, <br />be approved: <br /> <br />a.
