491 MINUTES OF THE MEETING THE ClT~FCOUNCIL FEBRUARY 7, 1989 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services, and Mr. Lee, Principal Planner, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Walker stated that the following item should be added to the agenda as item 4p - Proclaim February 1989 as American History Month. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 1-17-89. b. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-43, approving a Commercial' Alarm Agreement with Royal Alarm Systems, Inc., to maintain and service the alarm system at the Pleasanton Library, for a two year period at a cost of $72.00 per month; and authorizing the City Manager to sign the agreement. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-44, approving an amended contract with Carl Mileff and Associates, Inc., for plan checking services provided to the Building Inspection Department; approving payment not to exceed 80% of plan check fee collected by City; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-45, approving agreement with the Department of Motor Vehicles to accept certificates of driving experience and/or training issued to Fire Apparatus Drivers by the City; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement. - 1 - 2-7-89
