491 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> THE ClT~FCOUNCIL <br /> FEBRUARY 7, 1989 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br />Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, <br />Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities, Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community Services, <br />and Mr. Lee, Principal Planner, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker stated that the following item should be added to <br />the agenda as item 4p - Proclaim February 1989 as American History <br />Month. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent <br /> Calendar, as amended, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 1-17-89. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-43, approving a Commercial' <br /> Alarm Agreement with Royal Alarm Systems, Inc., to maintain <br /> and service the alarm system at the Pleasanton Library, for a <br /> two year period at a cost of $72.00 per month; and <br /> authorizing the City Manager to sign the agreement. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-44, approving an amended <br /> contract with Carl Mileff and Associates, Inc., for plan <br /> checking services provided to the Building Inspection <br /> Department; approving payment not to exceed 80% of plan check <br /> fee collected by City; and authorizing the City Manager to <br /> execute the agreement. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 89-45, approving agreement with <br /> the Department of Motor Vehicles to accept certificates of <br /> driving experience and/or training issued to Fire Apparatus <br /> Drivers by the City; and authorizing the City Manager to <br /> execute the agreement. <br /> <br /> - 1 - 2-7-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
