87 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> FEBRUARY 6, 1990 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver, and <br />Mayor Mercer. Councilmember Butler was absent due to illness. <br />Staff members present were: Mr. Bocian, Interim City Manager; <br />Mr. Roush, City Attorney; Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities; Ms. Bengtson, Director of Parks and Community <br />Services; and Mr. Lee, Principal Planner, Department of Planning <br />and Community Development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer introduced the new City Manager for the City of <br />Pleasanton, Ms. Deborah Acosta. Ms. Acosta has held city <br />administrative positions for the last 17 years and will assume her <br />post on March 5, 1990. Mr. Mercer then introduced her husband, <br />Mr. Frank Acosta, the Police Chief of the City of Milpitas, and <br />Mrs. Mercer. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Bocian requested that an item be added to the Consent <br />Calendar as Item 4o - Commendation to Judy and Donald Person for <br />their donation of the "Girl Readinq" sculpture at the Pleasanton <br />Library. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes requested that a correction be made on page 12 of <br />the Minutes regarding his motion on Item 8a - Status Report on the <br />Fertile Crescent and Vineyard Avenue Corridor Studies, which <br />should read: "...development applications on the properties on <br />Vineyard Avenue within the Fertile Crescent Study area until <br />directed by Council .... " <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 1/16/90, as <br /> amended. <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> 2-6-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
