MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> MARCH 9, 1993 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />RQLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. lqzidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Thomas P. Pico, Jr., Dorothy N. Scribner, and Mayor Ben C. Tarver. <br />Councilmember Karin Mohr was absent due to out of town business. Staff members present <br />were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; and Michael H. Roush, City Attorney. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE ELECTION RETURNS AND DECLARING THE <br />RESULTS OF THE MARCH 2. 1993 SPECIAL ELECTION <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Scribner, seconded by Mr. Pico, to adopt Resolution No. 93-32, <br />Canvassing the Election Returns and Declaring the Results of the March 2, 1993 Special <br />Municipal Election. <br />The vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Pico, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF NEWLY ELECTED COUNCILMEMBER <br /> <br /> Judge Ron Hyde administered the oath of office to Rebecca L. Dennis, the newly elected <br />Councilmember. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis then took her seat and expressed her appreciation for those in attendance. <br />She indicated she was looking forwarded to the meaningful work and encouraged citizen <br />involvement. <br /> <br /> The other members of the Council each had a few welcoming remarks. <br /> <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
