MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 7, 1996 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Ben Tarvex called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Tom Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance and wished Mayor Tarver a happy <br />50th birthday. He commended Mr. Tarvex on his dedication to the City and his fairness in <br />maldng Commission appointments. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Karin Mob_r, Thomas P. Pico, <br />Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A. Lure, Director of Public Works; Dolores Bengtson, Director of Parks <br />and Community Services; Susan Rossi, Director of Finance; Gary Smith, Director of Building <br />Inspection; and Dave Iremonger, Treasury Supervisor. <br /> <br />3- AOENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 6g, Report concerning Zone 7 Water Agency's Financial, Institutional and <br />Operational Analysis of Options for providing water to Doughexty Valley, was continued to June <br />4, 1996. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarvex suggested a workshop on this matter. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis agreed this was a complex issue that was significant and it would be helpful <br />to the community. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr indicated workshops are not usually televised and felt the issue should be <br />discussed at a regular Council meeting or at a time when it could be televised. <br /> <br />05/07/96 -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
