MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL March 4, 1997 1. CALL TQ ORDER Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. Ms. Ayala lead the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. Ms. Ayala announced the polls were open until 8:00 p.m. and encouraged everyone to vote. She mentioned the following Commission positions were open: Parks & Recreation, Library, Planning, Youth, Affordable Housing, and Civic Arts. She said applications can be picked up in the City Clerk' s office located at 123 Main Street between the hours 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. These applications are due by March 17, 1997. She mentioned applications were also being accepted for the West Las Positas Interchange Study Committee and were due March 14, 1997. She also recognized Bill van Gelder, Traffic Engineer, for his reelection to the Tri- Valley Transportation Council Advisory Committee. Mayor Tarver congratulated the Foothill High School's Gift Soccer Team for winning the North Coast section. He also urged people to get out and vote. 2. ROLL CALL City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Scott Erickson, Housing Specialist; and Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Item 4e, regarding Vista Diablo, Tract 6339, Chalet Woods, was amended to remove the Reimbursement Agreement and to remove acceptance of the landscaping between the soundwall and Vineyard Avenue. 1 3/04/97
