PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2007-11 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW SCHOOLS, TUTORING SERVICES, AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN VARIOUS DISTRICTS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-37 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend Chapter 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow schools, tutoring services, and recreational facilities in various districts; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of March 14, 2007, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning the amendments to the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment, when implemented, would expedite the review of applications, thereby improving the application process for small business owners wishing to operate a small school, tutoring service, or recreational facility. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-37, the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow schools, tutoring services, and recreational facilities in various districts, as shown on Exhibit B, attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
