PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2007-11 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO ALLOW SCHOOLS, TUTORING SERVICES, AND RECREATIONAL <br />FACILITIES IN VARIOUS DISTRICTS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-37 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend Chapter 18 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow schools, tutoring services, and recreational <br />facilities in various districts; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of March 14, 2007, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning the amendments to the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment, when <br />implemented, would expedite the review of applications, thereby improving the <br />application process for small business owners wishing to operate a small school, <br />tutoring service, or recreational facility. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-37, the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />to amend 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow schools, tutoring services, <br />and recreational facilities in various districts, as shown on Exhibit B, attached <br />hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
