PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2410 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSIOIN OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-83-10 WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Safety Element of the General Plan with regard to smoke, glare, lighting, electrical interference, and other navigation hazards in flight zones near local aviation facilities; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 9, 1983 the Planning Commission recommended approval of the negative declaration prepared for this proposed general plan amendment; and WHEREAS, at this same duly noticed public hearing the Planning Commission asked the City staff to provide additional information concerning this proposal; and WHEREAS, at its continued meeting of December 14, 1983, the Planning Commission had before them a new staff report with additional information. _ NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton recommends that the City Council adopt Subgoal ~k6, Policy Statement ~~1 and Implementation Program ~kl as follows: Sub oal 4p6 - Air Navi ation Hazards- It is the goal of the City o Pleasanton to try to prevent any type of air navigation hazard in that portion of the planning area within the General Referral Area of the Airport Land Use Commission Plan for the Livermore Airport. Policy Statement Cpl: It is the policy of the City of Pleasanton to ensure to the maximum extent possible that no development is approved which creates any air navigation hazards in the General Referral Area due to electrical interference, smoke, glare, lightinig or other haszard. Implementation Program 4k1: Review and evaluate possible air navigation hazards through the City's environmental review process. Section 2.
