PLANNING COMMISSION <br />_ CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2253 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF THE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FILED BY THE <br />CITY UNDER CASE GP-82-10 <br />WHEREAS, as a result of Annexation No. 103, the City of Pleasanton has applied <br />to change the General Plan designation of the approximately 200 foot <br />wide strip located on the west side of Vineyard/Pico Avenue between <br />the Vineyard/Pico/Tawny intersection and the Arroyo del Valle from <br />"Open Space - Parks and Recreation" to "Medium Density Residential" and <br />to change the designation of the approximately 3/4 acre parcel located <br />immediately west of the Vineyard Villa Home Park from "Open Space - <br />Parks and Recreation" to "High Density Residential;" and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 12, 1983 the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the Negative Declaration prepared <br />for this application after considering all public testimony and <br />pertinent documents relating to this case; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission concurred with the Staff Report in that the <br />subject property is not an especially appropriate place for a <br />neighborhood type park as it is located adjacent to two busy streets <br />and contains a number of single-family residences. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the portion of the subject property on the west side <br />of Vineyard/Pico be changed from "Open Space - Parks and Recreation" to <br />"Medium Density Residential" and that that portion of the subject property <br />east of that street be changed to "High Density Residential." <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br />and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE <br />12TH DAY OF JANUARY 1983 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTES: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Wilson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: January 12, 1983 <br />Getty, Jamieson and Chairperson Lindsey <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />Robert J.
