PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2263 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OL' i'iii, <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RESPONDING TO A COUNTY <br />REFERRAL REGARDING MOHR AVENUE (County Road <br />No. 7794) <br />WHEREAS, by letter dated December 28, 1982 the Public Works <br />Division of Alameda County requested the City of <br />Pleasanton to comment on the request of Kaiser Sand <br />and Gravel that the County of Alameda vacate the <br />easterly 2000 feet, more or less, of Mohr Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the County Road Department has suggested that the area <br />proposed to be vacated be expanded to include all of the <br />County-maintained portion of Mohr Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 12, 1983 <br />the Planning Commission was furnished with a copy of <br />the letter from the Director of Public Works of Alameda <br />County along with all relevant data; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />considered the furnished data and recommendation of the <br />City staff concerning the proposed vacation of Mohr Avenue <br />which is under the Sphere of Influence of the City of <br />Pleasanton; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Division has discussed this request with the <br />City's Director of Public Works and property owner's <br />representative for the property located adjacent to the <br />subject County road; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the City's staff <br />suggestion that when the Busch land develops Medium Density <br />Residential, it may be necessary to utilize the portion of <br />Mohr Avenue between Martin Avenue and the eastern boundary <br />of the Busch property for a public street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends to Alameda County that the request of Kaiser <br />Sand and Gravel Company for the vacation of the easterly <br />2000 feet of Mohr Avenue be approved. <br />Section 2. Recommends to Alameda County that the portion of <br />Mohr Avenue between Martin Avenue and the eastern boundary <br />of the Busch property not be vacated at this time as <br />~' recommended by the County Road Department. <br />
