PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2124 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MAKING A DETERMINATION OF USE - <br />COMMERCIAL RABBIT AND POULTRY FARM IN THE R-1-20,000 <br />DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, Gail Sidhu, owner of the approximately 3/4ths acre parcel <br />located at 4031 Stanley Boulevard, has filed ~ conditional <br />use permit application to allow her to retain a number of <br />rabbits, geese, pigeons, chickens and other fowl on the <br />property; and <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Sidhu raises these animals for commercial purposes, <br />selling the meat and furs; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned R-1-20,000 (Single-Family <br />Residential) District; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a question as to whether this type of use is allowed <br />in the R-1-20,000 District and whether a use permit may <br />be granted for that use; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was asked to make a determination <br />as to the use prior to consideration of a use permit. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Determines that the use requested would not conform to <br />Section 2-6.14 (Conditional Use), Article 5 (R-1- One Family <br />Residential District) of the Ordinance Code as well as <br />Section 2-5.07.01 of the same code and determines that a <br />conditional use permit cannot be granted in the R-1-20,000 <br />District for the type of use conducted by Mrs. Sidhu. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its <br />passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 13th day of January 1982 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Getty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />DATE: January 13, 1982 <br />
