PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2129 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE REVIEW OF USES ALLOWED <br />IN THE I-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT BE REFERRED <br />TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE REZONING <br />OF I-G DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON. <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the approval by the Design Review Board <br />of a pipe assembly and vehicle maintenance facility on <br />a 2.75 acre site located on the north side of Johnson <br />Drive west of Highway I-680; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Jamieson asked that the Planning Commission <br />discuss the allowed and conditionally allowed uses in the <br />I-G District; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council appealed the decision of the Design Review <br />Board on the Johnson Drive project and asked that the <br />Commission review both the I-G District itself and land <br />use of all of the vacant I-G zoned properties located <br />immediately east of Highway I-680; and <br />WHEREAS, at the time the City Council reviewed the proposal for the <br />vehicle maintenance and pipe assembly facility on Johnson <br />Drive screening was the primary issue of concern. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends to the City Council that all of the vacant <br />I-G zoned property on the east side of I-680 be rezoned <br />I-P (Industrial Park) or PUD-Industrial. <br />Section 2.
