PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2129 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING THE REVIEW OF USES ALLOWED IN THE I-G (GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT BE REFERRED TO THE CITY COUNCIL FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE REZONING OF I-G DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON. WHEREAS, as a result of the approval by the Design Review Board of a pipe assembly and vehicle maintenance facility on a 2.75 acre site located on the north side of Johnson Drive west of Highway I-680; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Jamieson asked that the Planning Commission discuss the allowed and conditionally allowed uses in the I-G District; and WHEREAS, the City Council appealed the decision of the Design Review Board on the Johnson Drive project and asked that the Commission review both the I-G District itself and land use of all of the vacant I-G zoned properties located immediately east of Highway I-680; and WHEREAS, at the time the City Council reviewed the proposal for the vehicle maintenance and pipe assembly facility on Johnson Drive screening was the primary issue of concern. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recommends to the City Council that all of the vacant I-G zoned property on the east side of I-680 be rezoned I-P (Industrial Park) or PUD-Industrial. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
