PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2136 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF THE <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-81-25, <br />APPLICATION OF ERNEST AND CHARLOTTE JONES. <br />WHEREAS, Ernest and Charlotte Jones have applied to rezone approxi- <br />mately 4.5 acres of land located at the northwest corner <br />of Rose Avenue and Rose Lane from the "A" (Agricultural) <br />District to the R-1-10,000 (Single-Family Residential) <br />or R-1-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of January 24, 1982 the Planning Commission <br />received a proposed negative declaration for case RZ-81-25; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study dated January 6, 1982 and received the <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 24, 1982 <br />and continued to February 10, 1982 for review of other <br />areas in the immediate proximity; and <br />WHEREAS, at the February 10, 1982 meeting the public was given the <br />opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the <br />proposed zoning change; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of negative <br />declarations and environmental impact reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff indicated <br />that there would not be any significant impacts upon the <br />environment by approving the rezoning. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the negative declaration for the <br />rezoning of an approximately 4.5 acres of land located at the <br />northwest corner of Rose Avenue and Rose Lane from the "A" <br />(Agricultural) District to the R-1-10,000 (Single-Family <br />Residential) or R-1-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) <br />District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Commission finds that based upon the review <br />of the Initial Study and the testimony and documentary <br />evidence presented at the public hearing that there will be <br />no significant adverse impacts on the environment as a <br />result of the rezoning of the subject property. <br />
