PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2606 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING <br />DENIAL OF CASE GP-85-2, APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />WHEREAS, on January 23, 1985, the Planning Commission, following <br />recommendations made to them by the Advisory Committee <br />on Downtown Residential Zoning changes, initiated <br />several general plan amendments and rezonings of various <br />properties in the downtown area. One of these <br />properties is the site owned by John Deetz located west <br />and north of the intersection of Pleasanton Avenue and <br />St. John Street; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 13, <br />1985 the Planning Commission considered their <br />application to change the General Plan Land Use <br />designation of an approximately 4.0 acre site located <br />immediately north and west of the intersection of St. <br />John Street and Pleasanton Avenue from High Density <br />Residential to Medium Density Residential; and <br />WHEREAS, staff expressed concern about any action which would <br />reduce the potential number of dwelling units which <br />could be built within the City at a time when numerous <br />jobs are being created within the community and the <br />Planning Commission agreed with this concern. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Denies case GP-85-2, the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to change the General Plan Land Use <br />designation of an approximately 4.0 acre site located <br />immediately north and west of the intersection of St. <br />John Street and Pleasanton Avenue from High Density <br />Residential to Medium Density Residential. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 13TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 1985 BY THE FOLLOWING <br />VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioner <br />NOES: Commissioner <br />ABSENT: None <br />s Getty, Innes and Lindsey <br />Wilson and Chairman Doherty <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />
