PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2609 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL CASE RZ-85-2, <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee on Downtown Residential Zoning <br />Change has recommended that various land use and zoning <br />changes be made in the downtown area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission initiated General Plan <br />amendments and rezoning applications to effect the <br />desires of the Advisory Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 13, <br />1985 the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning their application to rezone an <br />approximately six acre area composed of all properties <br />located on the north and south sides of St. Mary Street <br />and the north side of Division Street between Peters <br />Avenue and the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way <br />from the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District <br />to the RM-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District or <br />to any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, at this same duly noticed public hearing the Planning <br />Commission recommended approval of the negative <br />declaration prepared for this case; and <br />WHEREAS, RM-2500 is consistent with the the General Plan Land use <br />designation of the subject property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the approximately six acre area <br />composed of all properties located on the north and <br />south sides of St. Mary Street and north side of <br />Division Street between Peters Avenue and the Western <br />Pacific Railroad right-of-way exclusive of the Amaral <br />property, be rezoned from the R-1-6500 (Single-family <br />Residential) District to the RM-2500 (Multiple-family <br />Residential) District. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
