PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTON NO. 2753 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING PARAPET SIGN POLICIES <br />RELATING TO SIGNAGE ON MULTI-TENANT OFFICE <br />BUILDINGS <br />WHEREAS, at the December 11, 1985 Planning Commission meeting, <br />the Planning Commission directed staff to formulate <br />design review policies relating to signagaranetfsicns on <br />buildings, particularly those involving p P g <br />multi-level structures; and <br />WHEREAS, the factors involved in formulating such policies, was a <br />comparison of relevant sign regulations used by other <br />jurisdictions in the area; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 22, 1986 <br />the Planning Commission was considered a staff report <br />with a list of recommended policies. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves the following policies with regard to <br />parapet signing on multi-level structures in the north <br />Pleasanton area: <br />1. Only wall-mounted signs consisting of individual <br />channel letters should be permitted on exterior <br />wall surfaces. <br />2, only one tenant name and logo and a maximum of two <br />such signs should be permitted for any one <br />structure. <br />3. Monument signage should be located at vehicular and <br />pedestrian access points, should include street <br />address, and should be coordinated with the <br />wall-mounted tenant name and logo. <br />4. Directory signs should be located inside lobby <br />areas. <br />5. Individual sign letters should be of a single-color <br />although multi-colored logos should be allowed <br />where in harmony with the architecture of the <br />building. <br />
