PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTON NO. 2753 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING PARAPET SIGN POLICIES RELATING TO SIGNAGE ON MULTI-TENANT OFFICE BUILDINGS WHEREAS, at the December 11, 1985 Planning Commission meeting, the Planning Commission directed staff to formulate design review policies relating to signagaranetfsicns on buildings, particularly those involving p P g multi-level structures; and WHEREAS, the factors involved in formulating such policies, was a comparison of relevant sign regulations used by other jurisdictions in the area; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 22, 1986 the Planning Commission was considered a staff report with a list of recommended policies. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves the following policies with regard to parapet signing on multi-level structures in the north Pleasanton area: 1. Only wall-mounted signs consisting of individual channel letters should be permitted on exterior wall surfaces. 2, only one tenant name and logo and a maximum of two such signs should be permitted for any one structure. 3. Monument signage should be located at vehicular and pedestrian access points, should include street address, and should be coordinated with the wall-mounted tenant name and logo. 4. Directory signs should be located inside lobby areas. 5. Individual sign letters should be of a single-color although multi-colored logos should be allowed where in harmony with the architecture of the building.
