THE CITY OF 18A <br />~`'-_~~ °° • -'- "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j'L£f~S~4NTONo <br />July 17, 2007 <br />Public Works Department <br />TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WITH THE <br />METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR <br />ALLOCATION OF TDA FUNDS FOR THE VALLEY AVENUE BICYCLE <br />GAP CLOSURE PROJECT <br />SUMMARY <br />This report recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution approving <br />the application with MTC for Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 funds in <br />the amount of $50,000. These funds will be applied to the Valley Avenue Bicycle Path <br />Gap Closure Project. This project will construct a new, paved bicycle path along the <br />extension of Valley Avenue between Case Avenue and Sunol Boulevard. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing an application with the Metropolitan Transportation <br />Commission (MTC) for $50,000 in Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 <br />funds for the Valley Avenue Bicycle Path Gap Closure Project. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The $50,000 in TDA funds being applied for now will be used to construct the Valley <br />Avenue Bicycle Gap Closure Project. <br />
