THE CITY OF 3 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PL£~AS~NTON. <br />July 17, 2007 <br />City Manager <br />TITLE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE VOTING <br />DELEGATE FOR THE 2007 LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL <br />CONFERENCE <br />SUMMARY <br />The League of California Cities 2007 Annual Conference is scheduled for September 5- <br />8 in Sacramento. An important part of this Conference is the Annual Business Meeting. <br />At this meeting, the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that <br />establish League policy. In order to vote on the proposed resolutions the City Council <br />must designate a voting delegate in advance of the conference and an alternate voting <br />delegate in the event the voting delegate is unable to attend the Business Meeting. <br />The current Council representative to the League of California Cities East Bay Division <br />are Councilmember Thome, member and Councilmember Cook-Kallio, altemate. <br />Consistent with past practice, they would serve as the voting delegate and alternate <br />respectively. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Designate Councilmember Thome as the City's voting delegate and Councilmember <br />Cook-Kallio as the altemate voting delegate for the 2007 League of California Cities <br />Annual Conference. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br />Submitt d by: <br />Nelson Fialho <br />City Manager <br />
