<br />PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />3TATS OF CALIFORNIA, COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />MINUTES <br />The regular adjourned meeting of the Planning Commission was <br />held in the City Hall on Thuradap, October 11, 1956 at H:00 <br />p.m. with Chairman Hansen presiding. <br />Roll Call elmwed present: Commissioners Abrott, Collier, <br />Hanifen, Hewitson and Hansen. Absent: Commissioner Nevin. <br />It was decided to dispense with the reading of the minutes. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Abrott, seconded by Commission- <br />er Collier and approved by all, to instruct the secretary to <br />send the minutes of each meeting to the Commissioners, approval <br />would be made at the following meeting and meretta~e could be <br />given to the matters at iknd. <br />Old Business: <br />Since the School Anthoritiea have decided that there would <br />be ao need for a school site in the present area (Tract 1832 ), <br />a motion was made by Commissioner Abrott, seconded by Comsisaioner <br />Hewitson and Approved by all, to recommend to the City Council <br />the acceptance of Tentative Subdivision Tract X1832. <br />Chairman Hansen introduced Mr. Barnepback of the Henry j. Kaiser <br />Co. to the planning Commission. 14. Bare-eyback diacuased the <br />varied plane for the reclamation of the gravel pits of hfa compaq~. <br />He displayed a map of the sphere of operation of his compaxtiy, <br />showing the filled in areas and those in the process of being <br />filled in. Several possible uses for these reclaimed areas were <br />suggested, particularly by the Stanford Research Institute, uae~ <br />such as recreational areas, control of flood or water conservation <br />areas and nurseries. Discussion followed as to whether any of <br />the area was suitable for industrial purposes. <br />Mr. William Rugg, Harold Wise Associates representative, discussed <br />a general work program for the City of Pleasanton being prepared <br />by his company. Also, some of the problems confronting the City <br />during its growth and planning were diacuased and possible <br />solutions to these problems. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at <br />10;30 p.m. to meet again in regular session on Thursday, October <br />18, at 8:00 p.m. in the City Hall. <br />ecrbtary <br />
