Commissioner <br />at 9:00 PM. <br />Commissioners <br />Commissioner <br />Chairman <br />Hirst arrive <br />The minutes of the June 29, 1971 and <br />July 13, 1971 meetings were approved <br />as submitted. <br />Mr. Castro reported that The Tecton <br />Company has requested a continuance <br />to the August 24, 1971 meeting. Mr. <br />Castro stated that he would like to <br />withdraw Item 7c, Merrill Grotenhuis <br />Items 9a and 9b, tentative maps for <br />Tecton and Val Vista, are to be con- <br />tinued. <br />A report from the City Attorney re- <br />garding an ordinance pertaining to t <br />preservation of trees on private <br />property. <br />Commissioner Pons required that a <br />copy of our tree ordinance, when <br />approved, be sent to William Millard'. <br />City of Livermore. <br />City Attorney, Bill Hirst, stated th <br />he would like to make one addition t <br />his proposal, relating to Section 2- <br />17.04, that under Exceptions, the <br />provisions of the Chapter shall not <br />apply to fruit or commercial nut <br />bearing trees only when in an orchar <br />There was discussion regarding the <br />specification of being in an orchard <br />rather than just the stipulation of <br />commercial trees.
