4 <br />THE~CITY O~F <br />j'L£~S~4NTON® CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />April 3, 2007 <br />Economic Development <br />TITLE: APPROVE FUNDING FOR TRI-VALLEY BUSINESS COUNCIL <br />SUMMARY <br />For several years, the City of Pleasanton has allocated funds to support specific Tri- <br />Valley Business Council programs and initiatives including the Tri-Valley Vision 2010 <br />Project. This fiscal year, the Business Council is requesting a $25,000 contribution to <br />continue Pleasanton's support of the Vision 2010 project by implementing the action <br />initiatives proposed in the Tri-Valley Innovation Network Report. Among these initiatives <br />are the development of a Regional Marketing Strategy Action Team, an Innovators <br />Network Website Action Team, and an Innovators Forum series. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the allocation of $25,000 to the Tri-Valley Business Council to support regional <br />economic development programs an initiatives. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />If the City Council approves an allocation of $25,000 to the Tri-Valley Business Council <br />for this fiscal year, there are sufficient funds in the FY 2006-2007 Operating Budget. <br />
