PLANNING COMMS SSION CSTY OF PLEASANTON <br />AT.AMEDA COUNTY ~ CAL1 FORMA <br />RESOLUTSON NO_ PC-90-09 <br />RE SOLUT SON RELAT=NG TO THE ENV=RONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT <br />FOR THE BART DUBL2N/PLEASANTON EXTENS SON PROSECT <br />WHEREAS ~ the Final Environmental Impact Report for the BART <br />Dublin/Pleasanton Extension Project has been completed <br />and <br />WHEREAS ~ this document provides responses to written and verbal <br />comments received on the draft environmental impact <br />report (DESR) ~ and a summary of mitigation measures for <br />adverse impacts ~ and <br />WHEREAS ~ on February 8 ~ 1990 ~ the BART Board is expected to <br />approve the final E=R ~ select a proj ect ~ approve a <br />Mitigation Monitoring Plan ~ and authorize the <br />development o£ Memoranda of Understanding with local <br />jurisdictions for implementation of mitigation <br />measures _ <br />NOW ~ THEREFORE ~ THE PLANNSNG COMMS SSION OF THE C=TY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1 _ Supports the three-station extension which reiterates <br />the Council • s previous position and is consistent with <br />the DE=R•s identification of Alternative 2 as the <br />environmentally superior alternative ~ and <br />supports parking on the north and south sides of 5-580 <br />at the East Dublin/Pleasanton station in order to better <br />serve Pleasanton residents and facilitate coordination <br />with local transit services _ <br />Section 2 _ Sf BART adopts a two-station extension, Commission <br />recommends BART approve the three-station concept and <br />construct the Castro Valley and East Dublin/Pleasanton <br />stations (Alternative 3) as a part o£ this proj ect~ and <br />requests BART to continue working with local public and <br />private sectors to identify Funding mechanisms for the <br />Future construction of the West Dublin/Pleasanton <br />station_ <br />Section 3 _ SF BART adopts Alternative 2 (3 stations) or <br />Alternative 3 (2 stations with the terminus in East <br />Dublin/Pleasanton) with all parking on the north side of <br />5-580 ~ the COmmlSS ion supports a connecting roadway in <br />the rail right-of-way under 5-580 _ <br />
