CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 92-11 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDINGTHECIRCULATION ELRMENTOF <br /> THE GENER/~LPLANAS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br /> Circulation Element of the General Plan by deleting <br /> reference to the use of light rail in the Southern <br /> Pacific Railroad right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received a recommendation from the <br /> Planning Commission for approval of this amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determined that a Negative Declaration <br /> was appropriate for the proposed General Plan amendment <br /> and adopted Resolution No. 92-10 approving the Negative <br /> Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 7, 1992 <br /> with respect to the General Plan amendment, at which time <br /> any member of the public was afforded the opportunity to <br /> address the City Council on said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this proposed General Plan <br /> amendment is consistent with the goals and policies of <br /> the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves the application filed by <br /> the City of Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element <br /> of the General Plan at page III-9, paragraph 3, second <br /> sentence, to read as follows: "These corridors could be <br /> used for light rail transit sometime in the future, <br /> except in the downtown area." <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council determines that this is one of the <br /> four times in 1992 that the General Plan is amended as <br /> authorized by Government Code §65631. <br /> <br /> <br />
