CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 93-10 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDINGTHEMASTERFEE SCHEDULETO <br /> EXEMPT UNREINFORCED MASONRY (URM) BUILDINGS <br /> FROM FEES AND CHARGES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a Master Fee schedule effective <br /> July 18, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 19, 1993, the City Council <br /> introduced an ordinance to amend the Municipal Code to <br /> create incentives for property owners to retain and <br /> upgrade unreinforced masonry buildings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the incentives was to waive design review, plan <br /> check, and building permit fees for those property owners <br /> who retain and reinforce their URM buildings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, another incentive was to retroactively refund design <br /> review, plan check, and building permit fees to the <br /> property owners of 443,531, and 649 Main Street who had <br /> voluntarily upgraded their URM buildings since January <br /> 1987. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council amends Resolution No. 92-100 (Master <br /> Fee Schedule) to waive all design review fees, building <br /> permit fees, all public works and engineering fees, and <br /> all Fire Department plan check and inspection fees for <br /> those property owners who retain and reinforce their URM <br /> buildings in conformance with Chapter 20.52 of the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Council refunds the City design review, plan <br /> check and building permit fees charged to the property <br /> owners of 443, 531, and 649 Main Street who seismically <br /> upgraded their URM buildings. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
