CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ESOLUTION NO. 94-18 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION FOR <br /> DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT A <br /> CENTENNIAL ARBOR, AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-94--05 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton City Employees Association has applied for design review approval <br /> to construct a 32' long by 15' wide redwood arbor with a total height of <br /> approximately 12', in recognition of the City of Pleasanton's Centennial <br /> Celebration, to be located between the parking lots of 200 Old Bernal Avenue and <br /> the Pleasanton Library; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Public - Civic Overlay District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public heating was held on February 15, 1994, and testimony was taken <br /> concerning the proposed project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has found that the project is acceptable. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVF~ <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SeCtion 1: Approves the application of the Pleasanton City Employees Association for design <br /> review approval to construct a 32' long by 15' wide redwood arbor with a total <br /> height of approximately 12', in recognition of the City of Pleasanton's Centennial <br /> Celebration, to be located between the parking lots of 200 Old Bernal Avenue and <br /> the Pleasanton Library; subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> a. That the project shall conform substantially to the plans and elevations, <br /> Exhibit A (dated "Received January 7, 1994"), on file with the Planning <br /> Department, except as modified herein. <br /> <br /> b. That the applicant shall obtain all building and other applicable City <br /> permits for the project prior to the commencement of construction. <br /> <br /> c. The applicant shall work with Planning staff on the design of the sign to <br /> spell out "Pleasanton City Employees Association". <br /> <br /> <br />
