CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1821 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTERS 18.44, 18.48, AND <br />18.84 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />REGARDING COMMERCIAL RADIO AND TELEVISION <br />ANTENNAS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-05 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 5, 2000, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development (SR 00:311) regarding <br />amendments to Chapter 18.44 (Commercial District) and Chapter 18.48 (Industrial <br />District) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to permit with City approval <br />commercial radio and television aerials, antennas, and transmission towers; to <br />include the requirement that these facilities are to be setback 300 feet from <br />residences, schools, parks, and similar uses; to include design criteria that would <br />minimize the visibility of these facilities from view; and to amend Section <br />18.84.150 (Height Limits - Exceptions) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to delete <br />the requirement that commercial radio and television aerials, antennas, and <br />transmission towers be setback 1,000 feet from the 1-580 and 1-680 freeway <br />rights-of-way. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Chapters 18.44, 18.48, and 18.84 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are mended to reed <br />as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br />in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br />(15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br />December 5, 2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
