Pleasanton Times, and shall take effect immediate~ <br /> its publication. <br /> ~!n Ordinance to Pzevent Inju':i,y to the Streets and WILLIAM NAP <br /> Side~valks of the Town of Pleasanton; Also, to Prevent President of the Board of Town <br /> Injury and Damages to the Pers~}ns and Propert.V of the <br /> Public Generally. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton does <br /> ordain as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. No I~erson skall transport, haul or cause to <br /> be transported or hauled along or across any street~ lane, <br /> place, alley or sidexvalk in the To;vn of Pleasanton any <br /> street cleanlugs, filth, manure, beet pulp or other rub- <br /> bish in any v'ehicle which is not so constructed and main- <br /> to.:ned in s~ch good condition as to prevent its ~contents <br /> from leaking or spilling on said streets. <br /> <br /> Sec. 2. No persoy. shall hereafter be permitted to cut <br /> down, trim, prune, mutilate, remove or injure any tree <br /> or trees, stand~:~g upon the streets, lanes, alleys, places <br /> or courts ~vithin said Town without first having obtained <br /> the permission of thr; Board of Trustees therefor. <br /> <br /> Sec. 3. No ferson shall hereafter be permitted to <br />build or mai;~tain any barbed wire ffence, on the line of <br />any street, lane, alley, place or court within the Town of <br />Pleasanton, or where the same has been so constructed, <br />shall permit it to remain, unless the wi'res are carefully <br />guarded next to the street, by boards or other mater;isis. <br /> <br /> Sec. 4. No person shall hereafter be permitted to con- <br />struct or maintain any gate, which, when open, swings <br />outward on the line of ,any street, lane, alley, place or <br />court within said Town; nor shall any person hereafter <br />be permitted to plant, cultivate or maintain any hedge, <br />cr hedges, so tt3at the same shall extend onto the side- <br />walks or streets; provided that such as are now stand- <br />ing or grooving may be permitted to remain, xvhere the <br />same do net extend on'to said streets and sidewalks over <br />one (1) foot. <br /> <br /> Sec. 5. Any person w~,ol~ting any of the provisions of <br />this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor <br />and upon a plea of guilty or conviction thereof, shall be <br />punished by a fine of not more than twenty-five ($25.00~ <br />Dollars, or by in~prisonment not e.._'~ee.ding ten (10) days <br />in the Town Jail. <br /> Sec. 6.
