Seotion21~of Ordinance 79 is'hereBy amended so as to read as follows:- The term "Solicltc~"s~'~I1 include all persons or solicitors who sell or ta~ orders~:from the sale or purchase of any a~tic~les, goods, wares, merchandise or co~o- dity, in the town of Pleasanton, from any person, firm or corpor- ation; provided, those soliciting or taking orders from retail dealers having established and conducting re~lar places of business in the town of Pleasanton for the sale or~p~chase of a~ article or merchandise to become a part o~ ~e retail d~alers stock of trade, i~ such place of business, and retail dealers open to the public ,) hours d~ing each week between'the hours of eight (8) o'clock A. ~.~. and'six ~6) o'clock P. m~oliciting the taking of orders ~or their articles and commodities carried by.-them as stock of trade in their such established and conducted place of business in said town of ~leasanton, subject~ to immediate' delivery, 'and pers~s soliciting for the sale of religious publications, books, he~spapers or periodicals .shall not be termed solicitors or order agents wi~hi.n the te~ms oi' this ~r.dinance For every solicitor soliciting or taking orders for the saY~ or purchase of any articles, goods, wares or commodities the license shall be Thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per quarter. Any person, company or corporation violating the provisions of this Clause shall be liable to the penalties prescri0ed by Section 4 of said Ordinance No. 31.
