PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-94-03 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-94-1, THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO ADD CHAPTER 17.48, RELATING TO THE RIGHT TO FARM, TO TITLE 17 (PLANNING AND RELATED MATTERS) OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to add Chapter 17.48, relating to the Right to Farm, to Title 17 (Planning and Related Matters) of the Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 26, 1994, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the proposed ordinance supports and encourages continued agricultural operations adjacent to new or existing residential and commercial properties, and promotes a good neighbor policy between agricultural and non-agricultural property-owners. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-94-01, the application of the City of Pleasanton to add Chapter 17.48, relating to the Right to Farm, to Title 17 (Planning and Related Matters) of the Municipal Code, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
