<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-95-08 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-94-05, THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FLEXIBILITY FOR BUSINESS <br />SIGNAGE IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend Chapter 18.74 <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal Code (Downtown Revitalization <br />District) in order to provide additional flexibility for <br />business signage in the Downtown area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 25, 1995, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the new sign <br />types will permit greater flexibility for the businesses <br />without detracting from the overall character of the <br />area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-94-05, the application <br />of the City of Pleasanton to amend Chapter 18.74 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code (Downtown Revitalization <br />District) in order to provide additional flexibility for <br />business signage in the Downtown area, as shown on <br />Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case <br />by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2.
