<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-9S-01 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-94-08, THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY of PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING CRITERIA FOR ESTABLISHING AND <br />LOCATING FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend Title 18 of <br />the Pleasanton Municipal Code and the Downtown Pleasanton <br />specific Plan, and delete an established city policy <br />regarding criteria for establishing and locating <br />financial institutions, including banks, savings and loan <br />associations, finance companies, credit unions, and <br />related services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 11, 1995, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the city policy <br />regarding criteria for establishing and locating <br />financial institutions (City council Resolution <br />No. 87-541) is no longer applicable; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the proposed code <br />amendment is appropriate with the following <br />modifications: 1) delete "credit unions" as financial <br />institutions; and 2) allow financial institutions as <br />permitted uses in CN, CC, CS, and 0 Districts. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-94-08, the application <br />of the City of Pleasanton to amend Title 18 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding criteria for <br />establiShing and locating financial institutions, <br />including banks, and savings and loan associations, as <br />shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of <br />this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />- <br />
