PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2004-02 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF KOHL'S DEPARTMENT STORE FOR PUD DESIGN REVIEW, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-85-8-7D-2M WHEREAS, Kohl's Department Store has applied for design review approval to construct an approximately 88,248-square-foot department store with a 7,829-square-foot mezzanine area at 4525 Rosewood Drive; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I/C-O (Planned Unit Development- Industrial/Commercial-Office) District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of January 14,2004, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, environmental review for the proposed project was undertaken with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Hacienda Business Park certified by the City Council on June 8, 1982; and WHEREAS, there are no substantial changes to the project or to the circumstances under which the project is undertaken that involve new significant environmental effects or substantially increase the severity of previously identified effects, and there is no new information of substantial importance not known at the time the environmental impact report was certified regarding the project or its effects, mitigation measures, or alternatives; therefore, no additional environmental documentation was prepared for this application; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would adhere to the requirements of the Hacienda Design Guidelines and would be an attractive and compatible addition to the Metro-580 campus and to Hacienda Business Park NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves Case PUD-85-8-7D-2M, the application of Kohl's Department Store, for design review approval to construct an approximately 88,248-square-foot department store with a 7,829-square-foot mezzanine area at 4525 Rosewood Drive, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference.
