<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-25 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF BILL LAUBE/PLEASANTON <br />HOTEL FOR VARIANCES AND DESIGN REVIEW, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />V -96-03/Z-96-57 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Bill Laube/Pleasanton Hotel has filed an application for variances from the <br />Municipal Code and sign design review for a banner sign and a fence-mounted <br />sign for the Pleasanton Hotel located at 855 Main Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial), Downtown Revitalization, <br />Core Area Overlay District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of April 24, 1996, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements ofthe <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that all six ofthe required findings for the <br />sign variances cannot be made for this case, and that the design of the signs is not <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section ] . <br /> <br />Denies Case V-96-03/Z-96-57, the application of Bill Laube/Pleasanton Hotel for <br />variances from the Municipal Code and sign design review for a banner sign and a <br />fence-mounted sign for the Pleasanton Hotel located at 855 Main Street. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />--.-.-----.,;-----"-...-- <br /> <br />------,-- <br />
