<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-15 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON AND MANULIFE REAL ESTATE FOR A MAJOR <br />MODIFICATION TO AN APPROVED PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR <br />HOPY ARD VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />PUD-85-l0-4M <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton and Manulife Real Estate have applied for a major <br />modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) for Hopyard <br />Village Shopping Center, located at the northeast corner of Hopyard Road and <br />Valley A venue, to consider amendments to conditions of approval regarding uses, <br />hours of parking lot gate closure, parking lot lighting, landscaping, and lattice <br />fence extensions for the 52 space eastern parking lot and buildings located at 5725 <br />and 5737 Valley Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) C-C (Central <br />Commercial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 28,1996, the Planning <br />Commission, considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed modification is in the best <br />interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD-85-l0-4M, the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton and Manulife Real Estate for a major modification to an approved <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD) for Hopyard Village Shopping Center, located <br />at the northeast corner of Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue, to consider <br />amendments to conditions of approval regarding uses, hours of parking lot gate <br />closure, parking lot lighting, landscaping, and lattice fence extensions for the 52 <br />space eastern parking lot and buildings located at 5725 and 5737 Valley Avenue, <br />subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of <br />this case by reference. <br />
