<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-96-12 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICA nON OF SUBWAY SANDWICHES <br />(MADHU DHILLON) TO APPEAL THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S DENIAL OF <br />A PROPOSED TENANT SIGN, AS FlLED UNDER CASE AP-96-02 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator denied Case Z-95-229, the application of Subway <br />Sandwiches (Madhu Dhillon) for a new tenant sign located along the north wall of <br />the building located at 927 B Main Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central commercial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code. the decision was <br />appealed by the applicant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 28,1996, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that granting approval of this sign would <br />establish a precedent which would encourage the practice of installing signs for <br />one business on a tenant space leased to another business, which would result in <br />excess signage and confusion to customers. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Bection L <br /> <br />Denies Case AP-96-02, the application of Subway Sandwiches (Madhu Dhillon) <br />to appeal the decision of the Zoning Administrator's denial of the proposed new <br />tenant sign located along the north wall of the building located at 927 B Main <br />Street. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />---.-----------------..------ -- --- -- -_..- --- _._-----_.~-- <br />
