1 <br /> <br />LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF PARKING LOT FOR BLOOD DRIVE <br /> <br /> <br />THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF PARKING LOT FOR BLOOD DRIVE <br />(the "License"), is entered into August, 8, 2024, by and between the City of Pleasanton, a <br />municipal corporation (the "City"), and Stanford Blood Center, LLC, a California limited <br />liability company (the "Licensee”). City and Licensee may be collectively referred to herein as <br />the “parties.” <br /> <br />RECITALS <br /> <br />A. City is the owner of the real property located in the City of Pleasanton, commonly known <br />as: Civic Center at 200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA ("Civic Center") and is referred to as <br />the “Premises”. <br /> <br />B. Licensee has asked City if Licensee may use a portion of the public parking lot on the <br />Premises to hold blood drives. <br /> <br />C. City is willing to allow Licensee, its employees and invitees to temporarily use a portion <br />of the parking lots at the Premises to hold blood drives subject to specific limitations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT MUTUALLY AGREED as follows: <br /> <br />1. Licensed Area. Subject to the terms of this License, Licensee is hereby granted a temporary <br />license for the Permitted Use described in Section 2, below, on: <br /> <br />a. A portion of the Civic Center parking lot on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 as delineated <br />in Exhibit A (the “Civic Center - Licensed Area”), which is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof; <br /> <br /> <br />2. Permitted Use. Subject to the terms of this License, Licensee is permitted to use the Licensed <br />Area for: <br /> <br />a. Utilizing approximately ten (10) adjacent parking spaces for Licensee to park and operate <br />its Bloodmobile, Nurses Van and Shuttle Van to operate a public blood drive. Blood <br />Drive length will typically be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Licensee’s staff at the Licensed Area <br />from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Licensee’s Bloodmobile and vans shall not remain overnight. <br /> <br />b. Licensee may also place two (2) small “sandwich board” signs at the driveway entrances <br />of the parks and near the bloodmobile on the blood drive dates specified in Section <br />1. Licensee may place the signs at the start of the blood drive and shall remove signs at <br />the end of each day’s blood drive. <br />c. Licensee acknowledges that the only restrooms available are those restrooms open to the <br />general public at each park during normal park hours. <br /> <br />i. Notice to City Staff.
