<br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />ANNUAL SLURRY SEAL PROJECT <br />PROJECT NO. 24504 <br /> <br /> <br /> THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 7th day of May 2024 by and <br />between American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc., ("Contractor"), whose <br />address is 24200 Clawiter Road, Hayward, CA 94545, and telephone number is (510) <br />723-0280 and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation ("City"). <br /> <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for ANNUAL <br />SLURRY SEAL PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 24504, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, <br />the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Work to be Performed. The work will generally consist of: <br />slurry sealing twenty-seven (27) city streets with latex-emulsified asphalt, <br />utilizing Type II black aggregate. The project total includes approximately <br />560,000 square feet of asphalt pavement area. Work shall consist of furnishing all <br />the labor, materials, equipment, and necessary services for performing a complete <br />project as specified in the plans and specifications. Work will include placement <br />of slurry seal; traffic control and construction area signage; providing and <br />implementing stormwater pollution control plans; removing and replacing <br />existing striping, pavement markers, pavement markings; sweeping, cleaning of <br />the job site and other miscellaneous items. <br /> <br />Bidder shall note that although the City will execute a contract with the successful <br />bidder, the slurry seal work will not begin until after September 9, 2024. The base <br />preparation work and crack sealing operation for this slurry seal project is being <br />performed under another city project, Resurfacing of Various City Streets, and the <br />start of this slurry seal work will begin after the successful completion of the base <br />preparation and crack sealing from the resurfacing project. The Notice to Proceed <br />for the Annual Slurry Seal Project is anticipated to be issued on or after <br />September 9, 2024. <br /> <br /> Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on <br />file with the Public Works Department, Engineering Division of the City and are <br />incorporated herein by this reference: <br /> <br />A. Approved Plans and Specifications entitled the ANNUAL <br />SLURRY SEAL PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 24504, and <br />addenda thereto, if any. <br /> <br />B.
