<br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />HOPYARD ROAD AND OWENS DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT NO. 15525 <br /> <br /> <br /> THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 7th day of May, 2024 by and <br />between Bay Cities Paving & Grading, Inc., ("Contractor"), whose address is 1450 Civic <br />Court, Bldg. B, Ste. 400, Concord, CA 94520, and telephone number is (925) 687-6666 <br />and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation ("City"). <br /> <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for HOPYARD <br />ROAD AND OWENS DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT <br />NO. 15525, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, <br />the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Work to be Performed <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton proposes to construct a southbound right-turn lane along <br />Hopyard Road at the Owens Drive intersection. On the south side of the Hopyard <br />Road/Owens Drive intersection, modifications include adding a second <br />northbound left-turn lane and eliminating the northbound free right-turn lane. <br />This project also includes adding a southbound bike lane to close the existing <br />bike lane gap from the I-580 eastbound off-ramp intersection to 180 feet south of <br />Owens Drive. The proposed improvements within State right of way require an <br />encroachment permit from Caltrans. <br /> <br />This work will consist of, but is not limited to, traffic control, temporary striping, <br />excavation of existing roadway and concrete sidewalks, driveways, and medians, <br />landscaping and irrigation modification, tree removal, drainage systems, <br />installation of concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveways and sound wall, cold <br />planning, HMA overlay, slurry seal, sealcoat, pavement delineation, modifying <br />lighting system and installation of traffic signal system. <br /> <br /> Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on <br />file with the Public Works Department, Engineering Division of the City and are <br />incorporated herein by this reference: <br /> <br />A. Approved Plans and Specifications entitled the HOPYARD <br />ROAD AND OWENS DRIVE INTERSECTION <br />IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT NO. 15525, and addenda <br />thereto, if any. <br /> <br />B.
