<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-97-08 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING THE RESERVATION FOR FUTURE CITY ACQUISITION <br />OF THE 4.8-ACRE PARCEL IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE PONDEROSA <br />HOMES PROJECT, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-96-l0, IS IN THE PUBLIC <br />INTEREST <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ponderosa Homes has applied for prezoning to PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />- Medium Density Residential and PUD development plan approval for a <br />360-unit, single-family development on an approximately 92 acre parcel located <br />at 3380 and 3450 Mohr Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Unincorporated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a 4.8-acre portion of the site, adjacent to the City's Operations Service Center, has <br />been identified by the City as one of two potential sites for the future expansion of <br />its facility which will be needed to serve the City at buildout of the General Plan; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed meeting of January 22, 1997, the Planning Commission after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this matter, recommended approval of the proposed <br />negative declaration prepared for Case PUD-96-1 0; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the City's acquisition of the 4.8-acre <br />parcel would result in a superior interface between the proposed homes on the <br />north and in the public's best interest. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section] <br /> <br />Finds that the reservation for future acquisition of the 4.8-acre parcel in the <br />southeast corner of the Ponderosa Homes' project site, as filed under Case <br />PUD-96-10, for expansion ofthe City's Operation Service Center is in the public's <br />best interest. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
