13 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON <br /> June 20, 2023 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH HACH COMPANY BY <br /> INCREASING THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT FROM $99,000 TO <br /> $125,000 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Utilities Division of the Operations Services Department is responsible for <br /> monitoring and testing the chemical residuals and water quality in the water system. <br /> The City utilizes Hach Company for the purchase of Online Analyzers for Chlorine, and <br /> Fluoride at all our Turnouts and wells. The Water Lab utilizes Hach for Lab and Field- <br /> testing equipment for Chlorine, Fluoride, Turbidity and Nitrification. The Hach company <br /> is a sole source and supplies all Reagents, sensors and replacement parts for the <br /> Online Analyzers, the handheld field analyzers, and lab equipment. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to amend the contract with Hach Company by increasing <br /> the not to exceed amount from $99,000 to $125,000 for FY 2022/23. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The contractwith Hach Company is primarily funded bythe Utilities Division Water Fund <br /> 42040602-433154 & the Water R&R 42442101-440105. The FY 2022/23 budget in <br /> those accounts is adequate to cover the increase for the remainder of the fiscal year. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
