Christina Casha
From: Ellen Holmgren
Sent: Wednesday, May 31, 2023 1:18 PM
To: Victoria Labarge; Mayor and City Council
Cc: Pleasanton City Clerk; Pamela Ott; David Swing
Subject: RE: Special closed door session 5/31, Pleasanton Police
Dear Vicki LaBarge,
Thank you for your email regarding the City Council Closed Session Meeting Agenda for today, Wed., May 31,
2023.
This email acknowledges receipt of your email to the Mayor and City Council, the City Manager, and City
staff.
Thank you again for your interest in the City of Pleasanton.
Regards,
Ellen Holmgren, Administrative Assistant
City of Pleasanton
From:Victoria Labargi _
Sent:Wednesday, May 31, 2023 11:11 AM
To: Mayor and City Council <citycouncil@cityofpleasantonca.gov>
Subject: Special closed door session 5/31, Pleasanton Police
***[EXTERNAL]This message comes from an external organization.Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown
senders.***
Dear Mayor,Vice Mayor and City Council Members,
It is not the first time I have reached out to express my concern about the up coming budget and "nice to have" pet
projects in the budget. I once again am voicing my concern about the 10+ million slated for a skate park and century
house renovation. A statement from the city that was in the Patch today:
The city said that proposal on offer would increase city costs by more than $6.6
million over three years, at a time when city expenditures are expected to
outpace revenue.
By your own words - expenditures are expected to outpace revenue! How can you even begin to
think that spending 10 million on non priority items is being fiscally responsible. I hope
everyone on the Council is very aware of the very large skate park in Val Vista, is there a reason
this city needs two or three skate parks?
